We know that many families are feeling the financial impact of Covid-19. So we’re opening a Community Grocery for the people of Wythenshawe, helping you shop for less.
Offering a range of food options fresh from local supermarkets, you’ll find a wide range of food to choose from at a fraction of the cost, meaning you can save money, help the environment and reduce food waste all in one.
How does it work?
All you do is pay a £5 membership fee* for the year, then you can come along to the Community Grocery and fill up your basket for just £3 per visit.
A typical £3 shop will include: 1 sliced loaf of bread; 5 pieces of fruit or vegetable; 5 canned or boxed items; 2 chilled items, 2 frozen items, 5 best before items & 1 non-food item.
Delivery of food can be arranged for anyone who is shielding.
And there’s more. All our members will also have access to the range of free support services including job clubs, debt relief support, mental wellbeing courses, exploring Christianity courses, voluntary work placements and more. Support services launch on 20 October.
